Rider Profile – Ian Johnston

Ian Johnston watched friends race for a few years, then got suckered in. He has been racing since the start of the 2008 season, where he placed, essentially, dead last. He has since proceeded from dead last to something like 2 up from dead last, thanks to some DNFs and the occasional non-DNF engine malfunction on the part of others. Even so, as of mid 2009, he’s gone from 2:35 laps around Pacific Raceways in Seattle, to 2:14 laps, which he’s willing to call sufficient progress.
His bike is a scruffy-looking 1972 CL175 with hot-shit carbs that feed a weak motor, but that may change, oh yes…

this is btu from michigan do you have race footage from -2009? me and my bro dave got the cl175 give to us. trying to get it ready for 2010 season if not then trackdays then 2011-season .sure would like to come out there and race in washigton state . hammer coming out of that little shit bus stop hairpin going into stadium section at pacific raceway. lots of guys boag down right there? we got that bike and lo and behold there you were on the world wide web small world hope to see somemore video soon.btu 1-27-2010

btu from michigan i found those bridgestone sticky’s bt39ss.i’am going to get some ahrma live footage this june19-20 at grattan raceway. will send it on to all! cl175 twin racer 2dr getting ready for mock up then tear down.2dr race team will be use 2010 for test&tune and trackdays 2011 season look out. ian paint your gas tank please lol………………………good luck bro 2010!
