btu from michigan i found those bridgestone sticky’s bt39ss.i’am going to get some ahrma live footage this june19-20 at grattan raceway. will send it on to all! cl175 twin racer 2dr getting ready for mock up then tear down.2dr race team will be use 2010 for test&tune and trackdays 2011 season look out. ian paint your gas tank please lol………………………good luck bro 2010!

this is btu from michigan do you have race footage from -2009? me and my bro dave got the cl175 give to us. trying to get it ready for 2010 season if not then trackdays then 2011-season .sure would like to come out there and race in washigton state . hammer coming out of that little shit bus stop hairpin going into stadium section at pacific raceway. lots of guys boag down right there? we got that bike and lo and behold there you were on the world wide web small world hope to see somemore video soon.btu 1-27-2010

you guys have a great raceclub it looks and sounds like to me. nothing like that here in mighigan at grattan or gingerman raceways. i wish kinda i lived out there to be apart of that kind of group w racing god bless all of you guys in 2010 brian todd-out ian johnston does have 2 fans in michigan how about that.

hey michael,
#139 is Jason Lindquist’s bike from San Diego. I brought the bike as a spare and for Dave Roper to ride in the 160 le mans race. He had a brake cable failure into Turn 1 and put it into the tire barrier between the East and West tracks in Fri practice. Unfortunately that ende his weekend racing as he suffered a sprain to his left ankle. After 5 years of racing the slug on the upper gave up the ghost. don’t know if it was NOS Honda or NOS aftermarket. Jason did get the bike back in race condition for the following (this past weekend) weekend and managed a 2nd and a 3rd at Sandia NW. Simon Pierre-Smith was there to represent the pac-northwest on his Honda and DT1 Yamaha.

Hi all, Ari Henning here. I had a blast riding and racing the 160, it’s entirely likely I will be building one myself!

I highsided the little squirt on the last turn of the 3rd lap; my big feet were dragging badly and I levered the rear wheel off the ground. When it came back down, over I went. Thankfully I’m fine, and the bike fared suprisingly well. My apologies to Wick…

Unfortunately, my cameras only recorded the long wait to go on track and the warm-up lap. I’d used the same batteries to record practice on my CB350 and apparently there wasn’t enough juice left… Damn! I was gridded dead-last and blasted up to 1st on the first lap, I couldn’t believe it. I really wish the crash footage had been captured, it would have been phenominal.

It was a pleasure to partake in the 160 race, I’m now an addict.

I started racing at the early age of 10 with a Taco 44 mini bike and Won a really big one with the local Concord Police (J Norman) when I beat him to the end of Airs Road and crossed the creek! Of corse it was Game-On from there! I’ve raced stock cars (Winston Cup Dirt Oval) was 3rd overall first night out. That was also my best result as it got really Tuff after that!

I’ve raced Motox some Flat Track and Endro’s. I alway’s wanted to Road Race motorcycles ever sense I read about Cal Raburn racing Harley’s and went to several GPs at Laguna Seca when King Kenny was racing the Yamaha 700 and 750s.

I joined AHMRA in 04 at ThunderHill and got my Racing Licence there from no other then the Great David Stark. He was my instructor. Sense then I’ve been gradualy learning my race craft, building better engines and as of last year placed 6th in GP200 and 10th in GP250.

It’s been a Great experience! Fun Friendly people doing what we Love! I’ve raced at all the Great Tracks, Daytona, Robling Road, Sears Point, ThunderHill, Miller, Sandia, Willow Springs, ButtonWillow, PIR, Picific Raceway one of my Favorites, but the Best Track of all I have to say is Laguna Seca! Maybe someday soon we’ll all get to race there again. We raced there with VMoto and there’s talk that we might again. Hope So!

CB160 Race Seat Identification.

I’m trying to locate the manufacture of the seat on the CB160 that appears on th Viciouscycles web site. See the CB160 link, the first photo of a bike on a green walled background. The seat and cowling is black and the exhaust exits under the seat.

I’ve tried ringing and emailing both Vicious and Glass from the Past without success.

Can someone identify where I can get such a seat?

If anyone has friends in the Auburn California area this weekend the CJMC is holding its annual swap meet and show at the fairgrounds in Auburn California. The saturday swap meet is really a good one and there are always interesting vintage bikes in the show on Sunday.
Date: Saturday July 26 and Sunday July 27
